This Volkswagen Golf R tuning effort by Siemoneit Racing is all about milking some more performance potential from the hot hatch. The Golf R by Siemoneit takes the two-litre TFSI engine to 523 hp thanks to a new exhaust and aspiration system, and some engine mapping changes. This first set of changes reaches 350 hp and 485 Nm of torque, but additional modifications to the fuel pump and intercooler take us to that incredible 523 hp.
Faster gear changes have been achieved so that the DSG gearbox is more responsive, and changes to the launch control system have been made. It’s an impressive package that will set you back 5,000 euros, although that figure doesn’t include some of the essential interventions required to the suspension and braking system to cope with the extra power.
