Here’s a first look at the Volkswagen Tiguan restyling in this grainy spy shot which does look like something that’s just come out of the secret services sometime during the cold war. The new design reproduces that of the rest of the Volkswagen range, following in the steps of the Golf, Scirocco and Polo.
The front seen here is the definitive Tiguan facelight with a long, narrow grill and elongated headlights. In fact, it looks just like the Golf. The rear should follow suit with no dramatic changes as it continues the family feeling theme. We should see some new engines, possibly the new 1.6-litre TDI and the 2-litre TSI with 210 hp, and a Bluemotion version will also appear.

The above is a new digital rendering for the second generation Volkswagen Touareg, put together by the guys from Motorauthority.
Their interpretation of the new SUV shows influence from the Tiguan, with a natural evolution of the Touareg in clean lines and no excessive additions.
The influence of Audi in the lights can be seen, but the design still remains undoubtedly that of a VW. The model will present the new platform from VW-Porsche on the base of which the new Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7 will be built. The range of engines is unlikely to receive any radical updates, with only the possible addition of a V6 3.0L twin turbo diesel from Audi.
