Nissan introduces the 370Z Nismo RC, the racing version of the 370Z which will soon enter both FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS championships. The car has been stripped of all the unnecessary components (meaning most of the interior) and uses all the lightening solutions allowed by the rules of these race series: the result is a car that now weighs only 1340 kg, 160 kg less than its street legal counterpart.
The standard 3.7-litres V6 uses just a different ECU mapping and a new exhaust system, which will provide this car with little more than the 350 hp of the ‘normal’ 370Z as this is what the technical regulations of those racing formulas prescribe. Nismo added other racing bits like the new clutch and flywheel and also new oil, engine and transmission coolers. The Nismo RC is obviously equipped with all the basic safety devices and racing solutions: Sparco racing seat with six-point harness, roll cage, stripped down instrumentation, carbon fibre dashboard, Sparco racing steering wheel and a fire extinguisher.
