New pics of the Mercedes Sl65 AMG Black Series

While we wait to see it in the flesh, Mercedes is publishing these images of the SL 65 AMG Black Series. The background aeroplane doesn’t detract much as the SL can produce a whole 661 hp from its V12 twin turbo on 1870 kg.

If you want one, you’d better reserve it soon as only 200 units are being manufactured. If you’re interested in hearing the rumble, check out the videos already published.

Mercedes SL65 Amg Black Series: don't touch as it could bite

And now we understand the need for a face lift, as this is one nasty-looking car. With the smooth sides, carbon roof and spoiler this is a Sport/Leicht union at its peak. Mercedes and Amg present the SL 65 Black Series, a limited series supercar destined to pick up on the sporting spirit of the defunct SLR.

Just describing the engine we would need the word exceptional, along with all associated similies: a 12 cylinder V, twin turbo, six-litre power, 661hp and 1000Nm of torque. Each single unit will be trusted to just one employee - it’s “one man, one engine” but we’re expecting a dinner invitation.
