Mercedes released more new images of the B-Class 2nd generation. The revamped compact vehicle from the German manufacturer is claimed to be more agile and more efficient than its predecessor, but as comfortable and spacious as ever. The new generation B-Class comes with revised styling, a new set of engines and many upgrades in all areas.

Initially the car will come with two petrol engines - for the B 180 and the B 200 - where the first one is developing a total output of 122 hp and peak torque of 200 Nm, while the larger one generates 150 hp with 250 Nm of max torque. As for the diesel options, the B Class will be available with two CDI units: the B 180 CDI, with output of 109 hp and 250 Nm of torque, and the B 200 CDI which develops 136 hp and 300 Nm of torque.

The renewed model will be at dealerships beginning November 19th. We will look more closely to the new Class-B soon with an extensive post specifically dedicated to this car. Watch this space.

Mercedes has released an official photo gallery dedicated to the new B-Class, whose first units will hit the showrooms in November. The new generation of the German family car will initially go on sale with a quite limited engine range: a turbocharged 1.6 litres petrol will be made available in two variations: one for the B180 (producing 122 horsepower and 200Nm of torque) and the other for the B200 (156 horsepower and 250Nm of torque), while a turbocharged 1.8 litres diesel will also be avialable in two configurations: one will equip the B 180 CDI model (producing 109hp and 250Nm of torque), and the other the B 200 CDI (136hp and 300Nm). All models will feature direct fuel injection.

Kicherer is the first tuner to take care of Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster. The renamed ‘Supersport GT/R’ features a brand new front grille with vertical fins which is deprived of the big 3-pointed star logo that is typical of the original model. The 20′ burnished alloy wheels are also brand new, and get emphasized by the lowered ride height. The Supersport GT/R also features the ‘Front Up’ suspension system, which allows the driver to lift up the front of the car so that obstacles such as steep ramps and speed bumps can be overcome without scratching the lower part of the front bumper.

Kicherer also offers 2 performance kits which can boost the 521hp of the original model up to 630 or 650hp. The first kit is made of a new exhaust system, sports air filter and dedicated ECU mapping. Then the addition of sports catalysts can provide the Supersport GT/R with an extra 20hp, which would make it accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

German tuner Kicherer has created the Mercedes SLS Black Edition, a special edition based on the newest model from AMG.

With a matte foil-wrapped exterior, the SLS Supersport Black Edition features a carbon fiber front spoiler lip and a revised diffuser, new side grilles and a stainless steel quad pipe exhaust system, adjustable sports suspension (with a lift feature) and mounts 20 in RS-1 wheels.

With all these tweaks including a revised ECU, the 6.3-liter V8 now produces 620 hp instead of 563 hp.

The latest Mercedes SLR to come out of Woking will be a Roadster in a dashing orange, which will honor the historic color adopted by McLaren Automotive since its founding.

In anticipation of the presentation of the next P11, McLaren is continuing production of the latest prototypes of the supercar designed with Mercedes. In the meanwhile, construction has begun on the 75 super-exclusive cars dedicated to Stirling Moss, who raced the fasted time ever in the Mille Miglia in 1955 with a Mercedes 300 SLR. The career of the SLR coupe began in 2003 and ended in 2007. As expected, the production of the Roadster ended in 2009.

For the debut of its new supercar, Mercedes calculated a potential demand of 3500 total specimens, but since then it seems clear that they were being rather optimistic. As of today, in fact, just over 2200 SLRs have been sold, which is a considerable amount given the level (and price) of the car, but which is not good enough for some people who had been misled by the initial predictions.
