This superb meet of Supercars, in occasion of a track test at the Nurburgring certainly says something about the current panorama of the supercar sector: three of the four cars are no longer in production and, in theory, are waiting for the heirs to take their place. Boredom? Financial problems? Making a swap? Whatever the reason, it’s hard to explain this owner’s sale of the number one Maserati MC12 Versione Corse. Number one in a limited edition of only 12, it should be made clear.
Made in 2006 and inspired by the competition car, it applies the “FXX” concept to the Trident brand: the owner puts on test-driver clothing and is involved in private tests. This car has 755hp pushed by a V12 6.0 litre and takes only 3.8 seconds to hit 100 km/hr. Maximum speed is 326km/hr. The auction has so far exceeded 1.45 million euros.
