The number of Indian millionaires is growing by the day, and so is the demand for luxury and supersports cars coming from the fast-growing Asian country. Lamborghini announced it will open a second dealership in India by the end of the year while Ferrari - whose first showroom in those lands was launched last May - is planning to open another 4 by the end of 2012.

The Indian market for luxury and exotic cars is definitely on the rise at the moment, a trend that is not bound to slow down as projections say the number of millionaires in that region will double up by 2015. These surprising figures become even more astonishing in the light of the fact that the World Bank estimates that more than 75% of the people in India lives on less than $2 a day.

Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini announced yesterday that the 10,000th Lamborghini Gallardo rolled off the production line at their factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese reaching another milestone and confirming the commercial success of the auto maker.

This 10,000th Lamborghini Gallardo is the Yellow Midas LP560-4 Coupe and is headed for China where it will be celebrated also during the ‘Lamborghini Day’ in Shanghai, 25th June, before being delivered to its owner.

In the first event of its kind in China, Lamborghini will showcase eight cars from its super sports car range in Shanghai on June 25th and where they’re concentrating their marketing efforts.
