Spy photos of an Alfa Romeo 159 test mule have been doing the rounds these last few weeks, and everyone suspects that it’s a 159 GTA test mule, due to its 4 menacing exhaust tubes and the camouflage that presumably hides air vents and a bump on the hood. We all hope that the engine will be a Ferrari/Maserati V8 (either the 4.2-liter of the Maserati Granturismo o the 4.7-liter of the 8C Competizione).
The latest sighting was at the Nburgring, the “de rigueur” proving ground for all aspiring sports-cars. Sadly there are no indications about the sound of the engine.
The australian site that published these images writes that the 159 GTA might be shown at the next Geneva auto show (march 2008).
