AutoExpress has produced this render of its interpretation of the new Ferrari F450 as we wait for new pics. There have been plenty of spy shots of the new Ferrari and Autocar did its own render of the F450 back in June.
The F450 is set to make its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, though Auto Express reckons it will be back with pictures later - we can’t wait to see them.
There are plenty of Ferrari F450 spy shots floating around the internet, and here is a mixed gallery of a set from Car Advice today, and World Car Fans earlier this month. The shots show a full camouflage vehicle, and while we can’t glean much from it, Ferrari fans are probably saying “be still my beating heart”.
The F450 is still testing in prototype form (code named F142), but is likely to replace the F430 model. It will be presented at the Frankfurt show in September, and as far as engines are concerned at the moment, will have a V8 with more than 500 hp (370 kW), with the double clutch tranmission of the Ferrari California.

The Ferrari F450 is continuing testing before its release and in these spy shots it appears on the road with a little less camouflage. In a tribute to the F40 it has a triple exhaust in the centre for slower cruising, while the lateral exhausts are all about sound at high revs.
According to the latest reports, Ferrari has been concentrating on reducing the F450 weight to sit just above the 1,350 kg of the Scuderia. It will have 20hp more, reaching 530 hp total. With the benefits of the Zerolift transmission, the F450 will also be faster than the Scuderia.

After recent F450 spy shots and rumours, this render of the future Ferrari F450 is probably the most representative of the F142 project so far. The development of the F430 continues, though the new model is said to have the technology of a Formula One.
The new technology features include an updated traction control based on the Scuderia, radiators in front of the wheels, double-clutch seven speed transmission, and understeer control software. Chassis rigidity will be improved on the F430 with a lightweight alluminium frame which will also reduce the overall weight.
The F450 will officially debut in September at the next Frankfurt show, while an F430 hybrid version will likely appear in December at the Los Angeles show. The F450 spider won’t appear before March 2011 to give the Ferrari California the time needed to consolidate its position in the market.
Despite the technology to be used, other features such as direct injection, Start&Stop, turbo engine and all-wheel will not be included, and will possibly appear way down the track (somewhere towards 2014). In terms of the F450, these are more likely to be marketing, rather than engineering, decisions. However, the F450 concept to appear at the Los Angeles show will feature the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (or KERS).

In a set of more unique spy shots, here we see the Ferrari F450 in components, each of which is useful in determining what its final look will be. We get a clear idea of the F450 rear, which may finish quite angular compared to some of the other curvy lines of the car. The rear lights are in California style and the double exhuast is centred higher up.
The transmission will be with double clutch technology and there will be a new Getrag unit with maximum torque at 750Nm. While these shots do make the F450 look like it’s still on the production line, the debut has been postponed from the Frankfurt motor show to the Los Angeles motor show.
The Ferrari F430 has entered its decline and the prototypes of its heir, temporarily called the F450, have already been driving around for a while testing the new aspects that Maranello’s next supercar will possess. Among other things, a new diffuser, immortalized for the first time by these spy shots, will make its debut on the F450.
The new central engine model will also have a wider track and a whole series of adjustments to the chassis, which - let’s remember - is derived from that of the F430.
The F142 project will be presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September and the power of its 4.5-liter V8 engine could reach up to 580 hp. All this power will be sent to the rear wheels using a double-clutch gearbox seen for the first time on the California, and reinterpreted here in a version that is adapted to the more extreme use.

Ferrari is continuing its work on the heir to the F430. The mid-engined V8 sedan has been snapped by spy photographers in these shots well before its September debut at the Frankfurt motor show.
The shots show the rear of the F430 and some of the mechanical components which show the project name F142. The supercar is currently called the F450 and will have an aspirated engine based on the current 4.3 litre. The modifications to the V8 will involve a power-step and the adoption of direct injection techology, leading to more than 500 hp.
There were whispers of twin clutch transmission as well, but for the moment is doesn’t seem to be a guaranteed choice. The model will be on sale some time in 2010 after its 2009 debut.
The collaboration between Unique Sportscars and Novitec will give life to a special series of 11 vehicles, based on the Ferrari F430 and called Calavera. The name comes from Spanish, meaning skull, and we’ll be seeing that decoration on the bodywork and in the interior of this Ferrari 430 tuning.
Gaudy and tacky? Quite possibly, but the work comes from artist Knud Tiroch, while Novitec has occupied itself with the mechanics. New 20-inch wheels and an aerodynamic kit is available, along with revised front spoiler, LED lights and a touch-up to the twin turbo V8 that takes power up to 707 hp.
Novitec has also recently presented its TuLesto in house car, also based on the Ferrari 430 that will soon leave the car market scene. The TuLesto Novitec Ferrari was donated to earthquake relief in Abruzzo, and it will be the last one built before the new F450 emerges.

These lovely spy shots of the Ferrari F450, project code named F142, were taken in Sweden and give us a first glimpse of the mechanical modifications to the vehicle. Compared to previous photos of the F450, the differences to the current F430 are notable: wider wheel cases (and therefore likely wider wheel base), and extra air intakes including on the front bonnet. The new engine is set to be a V8 with more than 500hp.
We are likely to gain the first live look at this new Ferrari at the Frankfurt show, and sales could even start as early as the end of this year.

Ferrari’s substitute to the F430 (presented at the Paris motor show back in 2004) has arrived and is set to debut at the Frankfurt show in autumn. Known as the F142 or F450 project, the new Ferrari mid-engine is finally on its way.
In October, English magazine Autocar revealed that we should see a 4.5 litre V8 with direct injection at more than 500hp. The chassis will also undergo a complete overhaul from the F430, which is based on the 360 Modena.
The Millechili concept will be on full show, with lighter materials used to reduce the overall weight. Transmission should adopt the twin-clutch system of the California, and the new Ferrari, according to the company, is already as fast as the 430 Scuderia.
Production of the F430 has gone against the grain of the foreseen slow-down in sales for the series end, and the new F450 is set to build that success, apparently being reported as one of the most beautiful Ferraris in recent years. Sales should start sometime between 2009 and 2010.
Some intriguing reports regarding the 2009 heir to the Ferrari F430 have appeared on a Ferrari forum, and this time they seem quite credible. The mid-engined car could be presented in October this year and released on the market come January 2010, according to Ferrari Chat.
So far, the new Ferrari would be called the F450 according to this forum, but other reports also have the moniker predicted as F470. Whatever the case, prudence is probably the best bet as we wait to see more news over the next few months.

TopSpeed has a photoshop of the Ferrari F450, the presumptive heir of the Ferrari F430 that should be on the market in 2010.
According to TopSpeed, the F450 might have a 10-cylinder 4.5-liter engine with more than 500 hp, to better compete with the likes of the Lamborghini Gallardo. The number of cylinders would be highly unusual for Ferrari, and there would be no special reason to work on a 10-cylinder engine, now that F1 cars have 8-cylinder engines. And Ferrari, with the F430 Scuderia, has shown that it can squeeze 510 hp from the 4.3-liter V8 of the F430.
