German small manufacturer CCG presents the Custom GT, a rear wheel drive sports car. A tubular space frame made in the US and refined in Germany, mixed fiberglass and carbon fiber bodywork, a naturally aspired 7.0 V8 engine (borrowed from Corvette Z06), a 6-speed manual gear box and KW custom-made suspension are the main ingredients of this captivating no -frills car. However, the most impressive feature is arguably the fact that (upon request) the car comes with an LPG system that would help reducing exhaust emissions.
The Custom GT is available in different configurations, and its dry weight may vary from 960kg to 1080kg. The standard 7.0 V8 delivers 550 hp that can push the car from 0 to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds with top speed of about 320km/h, but there are another 2 engine options available, still from GM: a naturally aspired 6.0 V8 delivering 450 hp (0-100km/h sprint time of 3.5 seconds) and a turbocharged version of the aforementioned 7.0 V8 delivering no less than 740 hp. The interior uses alcantara and black leather combinations with some interesting racing-flavored bits, but CCG offers plenty of options for its customization.
In Spring 2012 a new lighter version tentatively labeled “Competition” is supposed to come out, featuring specific suspension and braking system and a more aggressive engine mapping. This model is aimed at that part of CCG customer base that would like to give it a go on the track or enroll in some proper motorsport championship.

The Corvette C6R GT2 has been released with this gallery set showing the yellow and black livery has been maintained. The GT2 is replacing the GT1 and will compete with the Ferrari 430 and Porsche 997 in racing events. The drivers for Corvette Racing are: Johnny O’Connell, Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia, Oliver Gavin, Olivier Beretta and Marcel Fassler.
The new GT2 is based on the Corvette Z06 with some features from the ZR1. This is to move it closer to the market for fans to purchase, with an alluminium production series chassis and steel, not carbon, brakes. While based on the GT1 seven-litre engine, the GT2 has a reduced engine capacity to six litres to use at the beginning of the championship, to be substituted then by a V8 5.5-litre unit. It will soon be introduced on GM group cars and will be manufactured by General Motors Performance together with the LS9 from the Corvette ZR1.
Squashed between two adversaries - the C6 and the ZR1, they are but admiring sisters. The Corvette Z06 remains faithful to its origins, undergoing some changes to detail in the model year 2009. The V8 LS7, 7.0 litre engine will remain untouched with its 513 hp.
New colours (Cyber Gray Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic) are available, while Machine Silver Metallic will be cut from the range, reducing choice to nine crome options. New, ten-spoke alloy wheels make their appearance, emphasising the sporty style with red calipers.
