German aftermarket company Vath introduces a new tuning package for Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe that boosts the already impressive 457 hp-600Nm output of the original model up to 680 hp with 840 Nm (619 lb/ft) of peak torque. German tuner Wimmer RS will introduce its own Mercedes C63 AMG BlueGreen Eliminator at the upcoming Essen Motor Show. The tuning uses a matt half green/half blue paintjob that surely won’t let it go unnoticed: the livery also features a massive logo of the tuner on the two sides, the logos of the suppliers of some special part (i.e. KW suspension, K&N filters, Dunlop tyres) and even some technical data of the models, namely the output of 601 PS (592 hp) with 720 Nm (531 lbs/ft) of torque, the power-to-weight ratio of 2.79 kg/PS (2.83 kg/hp) and top speed of 329 km/h (209 mph).
These figures have been obtained through a few interventions on the standard AMG 6.3 litre V8 engine, which has been provided with modified camshafts, new cylinder heads, sporty air filters and a new stainless steel exhaust system. Moreover, the ‘BlueGreen Eliminator’ is equipped with KW suspension, 19″ alloys by BBS fitted with Dunlop Sport Maxx GT 235/35-19 and 265/30-19 performance tyres and ceramic braking system. This tuning provides the C63 AMG with some impressive figure, but if you think that its flashy color scheme doesn’t really fit your liking you don’t need to worry: that’s a 3,000 € optional extra.

Danish magazine Bil Magasinet has uploaded an interesting video on its youtube page featuring - as they put it - “no talk, no music, just the glorious sound of AMG´s V8″. And it is indeed a nice sound, a ferocious growl that most of us are already quite familiar with.
The video shows black and white footage of the new Mercedes C 63 AMG Coupe lapping on a wet unknown track, with just the amazing sound of the powerful 6208 cc V8 AMG engine - mounted by several other Mercs as well - coming out of the speakers. If you have a spare minute, just sit back and enjoy.

After being served a notice and having his Mercedes C 63 AMG impounded, McLaren F1 driver Lewis Hamilton could become the world’s most famous and capable hoon - or at least Australia’s most famous and capable, according to Car Advice. On practicing a few burn outs outside the Albert Park F1 circuit, Hamilton was served a summons and had his car impounded in what will go down as Australia’s most high profile “hoon” arrest.
As Car Advice reports, Hamilton is most likely the most famous hoon ever arrested in the state of Victoria, Australia, and certainly the richest, earning more than 22 million euros a year. He joins a list of famous hoons, including:
Victoria’s youngest hoon, Laney Frankland, 5, whose 49cc minibike was impounded when Victorian police swooped as the girl rode the bike in parkland under parental supervision. The title of oldest Victorian hoon is also hotly contested – on February 28 this year a 90-year-old man stormed past the previous 80-year-old 150km/h record holder to become the state’s oldest hoon after driving drunk at more than 20km/h over the speed limit.
