
All it needed was a couple of sweet words and the memory of the M3 to generate new supposition. This time, however, coupled with some significant numbers: the German magazine, Auto Zeitung, has revealed BMW plans for the next M3 Coupé Sport Lightweight.
Keeping to the CSL tradition, excluded from the list will be air conditioning, navigator and stereo system, while the spoiler and bonnet will be made from carbon fibre materials.
Attention has been given to the V8 4.0, modified to reach 470 hp, with acceleration remaining at 4.5 seconds for 100km/hr, and maximum speed reaches 300 km/hr. On a painful note, only 100 units will be produced, despite the price of about 90,000 euros.
