BMW M3 Frozen Silver Edition

By Elxwave

BMW M3 Frozen Silver Edition

The BMW M3 Frozen Silver Edition is currently available on the M3 Coupe at car dealers across the UK, limited to one hundred units. The car has a unique livery, 19-inch alloy wheels in matte black and a rich package of optional equipment specially produced for the occasion. The interior features black Novillo leather upholstery with contrast seat stitching and Alcantara steering wheel.

Mechanically speaking, however, no changes have been made to the engine. Under the hood lies the “classic” 4.0-litre V8 with output of 420hp and maximum torque of 400 Nm that push the car from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds, reaching 250km/h maximum speed, with CO2 emissions of 290g/km. BMW declares fuel consumption figures of 9.3 l/100 km for Extra Urban , 17.7 l/100 km for Urban and 12.4 l/100 km in Combined mode. Unlike the engine, the suspension has been reviewed and the structure was lowered by 10mm.

As mentioned a few days ago in a previous post, the new generation sports car could be fitted, for the first time in its history, with a 3.0-litre twin turbo V6 engine. The two twin-scroll turbochargers could be installed in the valley between the two cylinder banks, within the vee-angle, and their setup should also ensure a better response during acceleration than the twin-turbo V6 with turbines installed at the sides of the valley.

BMW M3 Coupe Chrome Bullet

By Adrian

BMW M3 Coupé Chrome Bullet

BMW M published a few pictures on its own Facebook page that will surely not go unnoticed. The subject of these new images is BMW M3 Coupe Chrome Bullet, currently on display at the BMW Welt in Munich. As you can see, the car’s bodywork is entirely made out of chrome and sports the racing stripes of the Motorsport decal kit.

No further details have been revealed about this remarkable showcar that at this moment can only be admired live at BMW Welt showroom or in a photo gallery, but the possibility of actually seeing it on the road has not been ruled out yet. Since the M3 model is approaching the end of its glorious history, the Chrome Bullet version could be a mere exercise in style from the M-division or possibly a special edition series meant to celebrate the legacy of this memorable car.
