The formula “Gran Coupe” will soon be available for a second BMW. The news comes from Auto Express that reveals some details about the new 4-Series Gran Coupe. The car will be built using the same framework and main mechanical components of the 4-Series: it will be measuring about 4.65 m in length, considerably less than the 5.1 m of the 6-Series Gran Coupe, but suitable to enter the D-segment. The wheelbase will increase of a few centimeters, to provide more space for the rear passengers.
Stylistically it will share few elements with the 3-Series. The headlights extend as far as the double kidney grille, forming a continuous optical unit, while the aluminum inserts give a luxurious and refined look to the car. The BMW designers will then restyle the sweeping roofline, which will define the third pillar. The engine range will include a 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol or diesel. An M variant is also on the list. The 4-Series Gran Coupe will make its debut in late 2013.
New rendering of the upcoming BMW 3-Series Coupe F32, which will soon pick up the 4-Series badge. The marketing strategy to assign a new name to the model is due to the desire of BMW to reposition his best-selling coupe up: this might be the reason why prices have slightly been increase compared to the previous model.
According to tradition the new Coupe should go on sale about a year after the debut of the saloon variant and will feature modified lights and a slightly reviewed design. The restyle also include a reinterpretation of the “double kidney” grille, which extend as far as the dual headlights, forming a continuous optical unit. The 3-Series Coupe F32 will also share both chassis and mechanic set-up with the saloon version of the car: petrol and diesel engines with turbocharging and a choice of 4 and 6-cylinder engine ranging between 2 and 3 litres.
The new BMW 4-Series Convertible (or 3-Series convertible, depending on which source you give more credit to) has been caught again by our photographers, and this time we spotted it with its foldable top down. Apparently, the spring has arrived in Germany too as these two guys from BMW thought it was a good idea to go out for a spin with the latest, hottest convertible prototype from the Bavarian manufacturer. Well, we surely agree and appreciated that.
The new BMW 4-Series is being developed on the same platform the latest 3-Series, with the ranges sharing the same engine line-up as well. However, rumor has it that a Coupe and a Convertible version of the 4-Series will come with the engine of the next M3, that is a 3.3-litre 6-cylinder unit credited with an output in the 450 hp region.
Here are the latest spy shots featuring the mule of the next BMW 4-Series Convertible, once again caught during some winter test. The new 4-Series, which will go on to replace the current Coupe and Convertible variants of the 3-Series, is expected to make its debut on the market next year.
These new images show us a heavily disguised prototype, but our sources seem to confirm that the new model will end up having a quite different rear end in comparison to the one of the 3-series F30, something that will definitely set it apart from the outgoing range. However, the overall line of the new model shouldn’t be too different.
The new 4-Series will be developed on the same platform of the 3-Series, with which it will share the engine line-up as well. Moreover, a Coupe and a Convertible version of the new model will also be equipped with the engine of the next M3, the much hyped 3.3-litre 6-cylinder unit credited with an output of no less than 450 hp.

Here are the latest spy shots of the next Bmw 3-Series Coupe, which many people think will end up being called ‘4-Series‘. The model is well into its texting stage by now, and it is believed that it might be officially unveiled in the course of this year, most likely at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, in October. In comparison to the 3-Series 3 F30, the new model seems to have a more sleek line, especially as far as the roof line is concerned. This is also because the new model will have longer doors and, probably, no frames for the side windows.
From an aesthetic point of view there should not be any revolutionary change in comparison to the current model, the E92, but just a number of subtle cosmetic upgrades, especially in the front end area. As usual, the engine range should be almost identical to the one of the 3-Series, with the possible eventual addition of the much hyped 450 hp turbocharged 3.3-litre 6 cylinder unit that will equip the next

In about 2 years time BMW will introduce a new line of cars called ‘4-Series‘, which is supposed to replace the current 3-Series Coupe and Convertible, and a mule of this new range has just been spotted by our photographers. Apparently, the model will maintain the same kind of folding hardtop used by the current 3-series as well as the same engine range, while M versions of both coupe and convertible variants will also be offered. Aesthetically, the car will probably be heavily inspired by the design of the recent F30, although this is something that we cannot confirm by just looking at these spy shots. The car is expected to debut at some point in 2013.

Here are some spy shots of the upcoming Coupe version of the BMW F32 3-series, likely to become 4-series by the time its final version will hit the showrooms. The pictured mule is still heavily disguised, and it is difficult to make out shapes and lines of this model, especially as far as the rear end goes. The front reminds us of the M3 F30 mule we spotted at the Nurburgring a while ago, while we cannot help but notice the total lack of sporty bits.
The car is expected to debut toward the end of next year, but right now it is still unclear whether it will carry a 3-Series or 4-Series badge. No official information have been released so far about its engine range either, so speculations are thriving: some people expect it to drop the current V8 in exchange for a tri-turbo 3.2-litre 6 cylinder engine, some other say it will use a brand new turbocharged 4-cylinder, but we will probably have to wait just a little longer to find that out.
