Audi has released the price list of its new TT RS plus Coupe and Roadster, two models even more powerful and more exclusive than the traditional TT. Prices start from £48,945 to £52,265, £3,085 premium over the TT RS, the power has been boosted by 20hp to 360hp and the torque is up by 15 Nm increasing to 465Nm.
Thanks to the tuned 2.5-litre five-cylinder TFSI engine and seven-speed S-Tronic twin-clutch transmission, the Audi TT RS plus can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds for the Coupe and 4.3 seconds of the Roadster. The maximum speed has been increased from 250 (155mph) to 280km/h (174mph), electronically limited. Despite these impressive numbers the German carmaker states consumption figures of 8.49 litres for the Coupe and 8.59 litres per 100km for the Roadster.
Aesthetically, the TT RS plus sports 19-inch five-spoke Rotor alloy wheels, matt aluminum details on the grille, carbon fibre-reinforced polymer door mirrors and blacks oval tailpipe trims. The sports exhaust system is standard on this model. Even the engine compartment of the new Audi is finished in carbon.

The most eagerly awaited model brought by Audi to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show is definitely the all-new A3, the new hatch that will have to lead the charge for the four rings house army in one of the most competitive segment of the market. The design language adopted by the new A3 is in line with what we have seen for the latest models of the German carmaker, but the real improvement is in the new, minimalistic interior, which focuses on the usability of its hi-tech equipment. The car will make its debut on the market with four powertrain options: a 122 hp 1.4-litre TFSI, a 1.8 TFSI S-Tronic Quattro producing 180 hp and a 160 hp 2.0-litre TDi, while a 1.6 Tdi will join the fold shortly afterwards. Having lost about 80 kg over the previous range, the new A3 is likely to become one of the most successful cars of the next few years.
The Audi A6 Allroad is also arrived to its third generation and, in the words of its maker, it is 20% more efficient than the outgoing line-up. Thanks to the large use of aluminum parts, the new A6 Allroad is also considerably lighter than its predecessor, by 70 kg. Its engine range is completely made of tubocharged 3.0-litre V6 units, with a 310 hp twin turbo diesel delivering 313 hp and 650 Nm sitting at the top of it.
The sexy A1 Quattro will be produced in 333 units only, all of which powered by an athletic 2.0-litre 4-cylinder unit that allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.7 seconds, with 245 km/h (152 mph) of top speed. The new RS4 Avant might not look as manacing as the A1 Quattro, but that’s just the appearance: under its bonnet in fact pulses a 4.2-litre FSI V8 credited with an output of 450 hp at 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm of peak torque between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. This unit can push the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, reaching a 250 km/h (155 mph) of top speed. Also in Geneva is the recent Audi TT RS Plus, which will soon enter the market in both coupe and convertible configurations powered by a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder TFSI unit capable of pushing this car from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (4.2 for the cabrio) with top speed at 280 km/h (174 mph). The new Audi TT RS Plus has finally arrived. the German carmaker has just released the first official info and a massive photo gallery of the new model, that will be made available in both coupe and roadster configurations. The car is powered by the well-known 2.5-litre 5-cylider TSFI engine with direct injection equipping the ‘regular’ TT RS, but its delivery has been boosted to 360 hp and 465 Nm of peak torque, marking a +20 hp and a +15 Nm over the output of its ‘plus-less” counterpart. This unit, in combination with its S-Tronic ‘dual clutch’ transmission, allows the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in just 4.1 seconds (4.2 seconds for the roadster), with a limited top speed of 280 km/h (173 mph). A 6-speed manual transmission option is also available, but with this gearbox the TT RS Plus loses a little in terms of performance as the 100 km/h mark is reached in 4.3 seconds by the coupe and 4.4 seconds by the roadster.
The model obviously uses an all wheel drive powertrain and boasts an average fuel consumption of 8.5 l/100 km for its coupe variant and 8.6 for the convertible. Thanks to its light bodyshell, 2/3 of which is made of aluminum, the Coupe version with manual gearbox weighs only 1,450 kg, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 4.0 kg/hp (4.2 for the Roadster). The Audi TT RS Plus rolls on exclusive 19″ burnished alloys with contrasting red outline, fitted with 255/35 tyres and coupled to 4-piston calipers on the front axle. “Magnetic Ride” suspension are also available as an optional extra.
Aesthetically, the Audi TT RS Plus distinguishes itself from the “regular” TT RS by its glossy single-frame grill, the wing mirror shells made of CFRP, the matt aluminum outline of its diffuser, the front lip spoiler and its burnished oval-shaped mufflers. By the way, the ’sound’ of the car can be adjusted by acting on the flaps integrated in the exhaust system.
