Audi S7 Sportback

The 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show will also host the Audi S7 on the Audi stand. It will be the next of the S models to sit beside the Audi S8 and comes equipped with the same four-litre V8 in a detuned version. The Audi S7 Sportback gets 420 hp and 550 Nm of torque compared to the S8’s 520 hp and 650 Nm.

The S7 does 0-100 km/hr in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/hr. More reduced fuel consumption is a focus as Audi states an average figure of 9.7 l/100 km. The S7 uses Audi’s lightweight steel and aluminium chassis and comes with a wide range of wheel options measuring from 19 to inches. Live pics of the S7 at Frankfurt to come in a couple of weeks.

2012 Audi S7 spy shots

The Audi S7 will get a restyling for 2012 and here are spy shots of it going through its testing paces at the Nurburgring. The 2012 S7 will be unveiled at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September, a year after the A7 first debuted. Compared to the latter, the S7 should mostly get mechanical modifications, including a new 4.0-litre V8 engine and suspension system.

The S7 is said to have about 420 hp, and its new V8 will also go to equip the upcoming S6 which will bid farewell to the aspirated V10 and its 435 hp. Along with better torque, the new engine should have improved fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The Audi S7 gets bigger front air intakes and at the rear a pair of good looking exhausts - symbol of the “S” badge.

Audi A8 video and S8 news

By Alison

Here’s the official video of the new Audi A8 sedan, including some road footage and beauty shots to get a closer look. The new A8 will debut first with the 4.2-litre TFSI V8 engine with 372 hp, followed by the TDI V8 with 350 hp. We also get a look at the new MMI multimedia system with touch pad function.

Talk is already occurring on when we will see the S8 sports version as well. Autocar reports that the S8 will set the design benchmark for the future performance models from Audi. The new design language will subsequently appear on the Audi S1, S6 and S7. This also confirms that we will see “S” versions of the Audi A7 and new A1 hatch, and they will hopefully include greater stylistic differences than the current S range provides over the standard models.
