Here is a spy video of the new Audi A6 or Audi A7, coming all the way from Mexico. The video was taken in the town of Puebla, which is home to Volkswagen Group production facilities. While no Audis are known to be produced or tested there, it still points to a VAG vehicle, which could have the Volkswagen badge rather than the Audi badge. Reports say that it’s too big to be an Audi A8, and if it’s a Volkswagen, bets are on the new Phaeton at this stage.

Drive magazine has taken a look at some of the best vehicles for the snow, but which have enough city and off-road features to keep people happy, and looking good in both urban and and off-road settings.

Some of the usual “lifestyle” vehicles and faux off-road models such as the Audi Q5, Renault Koleos, Land Rover Freelander or Volvo XC60 may suit for snow and ice driving condictions. Audi and Volvo often come across with some of the best AWD options, having sedans, hatchbacks, wagons and offroads throughout the range which can give you all the four wheel effect you want.

But which are the cars that really stand out? There are a few surprises in the list, which includes: the Mazda3 (for its stability control), the Nissan Dualis, Volkswagen Tiguan and the Subaru Liberty/Outback. In fact, given Subaru has all wheel drive across its range, any old one will do. The Audi A6 allroad wagon gets itself on the list, as does the Volvo XC60 and the Lexus RX350.

The show-offs at the Audi stand at the Paris show will be the new RS6 sedan, the A6 with updated interior and style, and the allroad, the station wagon that winks at sports utilities with a pinch of offroad now in its look.

There will also be the Q7 V12 TDI, but the big news is the range of Ambiente and Advanced of the medium to big car, which will be available in October. For the allroad model, availability will commence in November at a price of around 53,150 euros.

Larger front intake to compete with the attention given to its more recent sisters… and that’s it. The restyling of the Audi A6 sedan and the Avant will limit itself to these marginal details.

There will be no other significant modifications to take it to 2011, but a few touch-ups for its age - the LED lights, for example, give it some extra appeal. We might see some changes in the engines, with the possibility of a debut of the V6 3.0 TFSI, at about 290 hp, destined for the next S4.
