Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Masterpiece London 2011

Rolls Royce is presenting this one-off Phantom Drophead Coupé at the 2011 Masterpiece London luxury event running from June 30 to July 5th. The Phantom Drophead will appear in an exclusive Mazarine Blue tint with interior beige leather upholstery. Luxury features on the interior include rosewood, teak and mother-of-pearl trim.

Unfortunately these pics don’t show us much of that interior, focusing instead on the exclusive Asprey jewellery collection which can come with the car. We’re guessing there are enough people in the world with the money and imagination for these creations, as this has been made as another example of the kind of personalised options which come out of Rolls Royce Goodwood centre.

Rolls Royce gets loungeroom in Abu Dhabi

By Alison

Rolls_Royce_Abu_Dhabi_showroom

It would be easy to confuse this Rolls Royce Abu Dhabi dealership for a luxury hotel lobby or loungeroom. The new Rolls showroom in Abu Dhabi is the biggest for the brand in the world, measuring 900 m2. It holds a space for five models on display, an office area, bar and a “boudoir” where each potential customer can configure their Roller.

The new showroom is a kind of homage to the Middle East whose market has contributed 15 percent to Rolls Royce global production figures. Of 82 Rolls Royce dealerships around the world, eight are in the Middle East, and the newly opened Abu Dhabi store has the new Spirit of Ecstasy Centenery Collection Phantom Drophead Coupé on display. I’d go just to sit on one of those lounges….

Rolls Royce bespoke models live at 2010 Paris Motor Show

Bespoke Rolls Royce live at 2010 Paris motor show

The five Rolls Royce Bespoke models on display at the 2010 Paris Motor Show have been designed to show-off the personalisation options that the company offers on its various models. We think that being in the market for a Rolls Royce is exclusive enough but these accessories and optional extras give that added touch of one-off luxury intended to make you feel more special than a ’standard’ Rolls already would.

There is a Rolls Royce Phantom EWB on show with Bespoke Gunmetal Metallic paint and mother-of-pearl inserts. Another Phantom Drophead Coupé is also on show with its Carrera White Metallic paint, painted wheels, lambs wool mats and white background instrument panel.

The third bespoke model on display is the Phantom Coupé in Syrah Red with carbon fibre trim and contrast stitiching around the console. The Rolls Royce Ghost has two models on display: one with Bespoke Ghost Silver 100 paint and the other in Midnight Sapphire. Both feature more of the Phantom personalisation range.

Rolls-Royce: the baby RR4 starting to take form

By Alison

Rolls royce rr4

The English magazine Car has reported that the “baby Rolls” style will be based on the much more prestigious Phantom Drophead. There is great expectation surrounding the new model, especially considering that the weight of the sales boom expected for the next few years will all be on its shoulders.

It’s not difficult to believe that this proposal is very close to reality, given that the Rolls design is compulsorily linked to certain characteristic elements such as the powerful front grill and the proportions of the body-work. What has been judged as the enemy of the Bentley Continental Flying Spur will be based on the next BMW series 7, a big step which will give life to an entire family of models.

From there a new coupè and cabriolet will emerge, as has already happened with the bigger Phanton, especially as the VW magament for Bentley wanted, which in fact has in its range the Flying Spur, Continental GT and the GTC. Thanks to this operation Rolls will be in a position to close the gap with its ex-allies, who are already moving towards 10,000 units a year.
