After the GT9-R and its 1,120 hp, the German tuner 9ff has hit the mark again, producing the fastest Porsche in the world with 1000 hp and 1040 Nm of torque. It has reached a top speed of 391 km/hr at the Papenburg testing circuit in Germany.
The flat six engine of the 911 has larger turbochargers, sport camshafts, a sport air filter, revised ECU and high performance exhaust system to create the TR-1000. 9ff reckon they could beat that top speed record again, exceeding 400 km/hr with the right aerodynamic kit.
Acceleration times are: 0-100 km/h in 3.2 sec, 100-200 km/h in 4.8 sec, 200-300 km/h in 8 sec and finally 300-360 km/h in 16 seconds. Other modifications to keep the TR 1000 stable include a splitter, changes to the side skirts, a rear wing and some adjustments to the suspension. It also has high performance brakes and aluminium dampers.
The modifications to the 911 Turbo cost about 130,000 euros and have apparently been done for the girlfriend of a Greek millionaire. Here’s hoping she can drive. Check out the 9ff GT9-R as well for some more serious Porsche tuning.

The 9ff GT9-R tuning of the Porsche 911 increases power to a whopping 1120 hp! This means we get acceleration to 100 km/hr in just 2.9 seconds, 300 km/hr is reached in 15.8, and the top speed hits 414 km/hr. 9ff has achieved this by taking the six cylinder boxer biturbo to four litres.
Production will be limited to just 20 units, and “less” extreme versions of 987 hp and 750 hp will also be available. The latter will have a Tiptronic, five-speed gearbox, although it can still reach 300 km/hr in 20 seconds. Each GT9 will be made on the basis of the customer’s specifications, meaning no car will be the same. See the 9ff GT9 gallery below.
In the end they managed it: the 9ff has beaten the maximum speed of the Bugatti Veyron, stated objective for this incredible GT9, which, with its 409km/h has beaten by a hair the French-German hypercar, 2km/h behind. However, we’re still not in the presence of the fastest road car ever: the record still goes to the SSC Aero Twin Turbo, which last September hit 411,76 km/h.
The 9ff GT9 has been manufactured in only 20 units, sold at just under 600,000 euro. While based on the Porsche 911, it’s practically unrecognisable, both in aesthetics and mechanics. The engine is the six-cylinder boxer from Zuffenhausen, but power has been increased to 4.2 litres, and in particular the disposition of this “beast’s” 987 hp and 964 Nm is no longer rear but central.
The body of the 911 GT3 has been lengthened by 30cm and the roof lowered by 12. Thanks to the vast use of kevlar and carbon fibre the weight has been contained in just 1326 kg.
