BMW Serie 7 40 Years UAE Edition

As a tribute to the UAE’s 40 years of unity, BMW will introduce in those markets a special edition of the 7-series - aptly dubbed “40 Years UAE Edition” - which will be unveiled at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show. The model is based on the 750 Li and will come with Marakesh Brown paint job and Merino Platinum leather interior. The emblem of the UAE is stiched on the headrests and can be spotted on the iDrive control and on several other bits around the car as well.

Under the hood it will have a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with direct injection - producing 407 hp and 600 Nm of maximum torque - and capable of pushing the car from 0 to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 5.2 seconds with 250 km/h top speed. Only 40 units of the BMW 7-series 40 Years UAE Edition will be produced.

2012 Chevrolet Trailblazer: first official teaser released

By Adrian

2012 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Chevrolet released the first official teaser (above) of the Trailblazer, a new SUV based on the recently unveiled Colorado pick up that is also destined to worldwide markets, Europe included. The new model is scheduled to make its official debut at the Dubai International Motor Show (10-14 November 2011), while Thailand will be the first market where this new car will go on sale in 2012.

Chances are that no European markets will see any Trailblazer until 2013, but even if no official information was released about its engine range, it is safe to say that it will probably make use of the same engines that will equip the Colorado line: the new 2.5 and 2.8 DuraMax 4-cylinder diesel engines, the former delivering 150hp and 350 Nm of torque and the latter producing 180hp and 470 Nm. Manual or automatic transmission and 2WD or 4WD variations will be available for both engine configurations.
