Rolls Royce has released the official news at the Shanghai show, that the name “Ghost” will be used for its new model, to be placed a step below the Phantom. The car derives from the 200 EX concept which impressed the public at the Geneva show, and will be based on the new BMW 760 Li V12 recently presented.
It will be 5.39 metres long and with a wheel base of 3.29 metres. The definitive presentation will take place at the Frankfurt motor show, with no news on possible coupè and cabriolet versions.

The Rolls Royce RR4/Silver Ghost is a V12, 6.6 litre turbo compressed unit with 500 hp and an eight speed transmission.
Managing Director Tom Purves has said that the interest of customers is increasing and the brand will come full circle with the production of the Goodwood, after the positive response to the 200EX, though the sedan will keep the classic ideals of the Spirit of Ecstasy.
