In a new recruitment drive using a kind of road trip, the US Air Force has redesigned a Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, in a project collaboration with Galpin Auto. The cars, with jet-fighter style cabins, are set to attract young recruits when travelling around the US.
The X-1 Mustang has been majorly re-tuned with matt white paint, low and wide bodykit and black alloys. It has Lamborghini-style doors and a mono-seat cabin with a centrally mounted ejector seat and flight stick.
The Dodge Challenger looks less like your dream video-game come to life, with a carbon fibre external trim, and radar-absorbing paint. The interior includes room for two with aircraft controls and GPS tracking system. If you’re interested in night surveillence, it’s got that too, meaning you won’t need any headlights.
The big question is: would you sign up?
