The guys over at 7Tune have recently published new rumours regarding the next Honda NSX, the “kill-the-GT-R” currently in development phase and which should make the supercar market sit up and take notice.

While the NSX will be equipped with a 5.5 litre V10, the big news is its Variable Cylinder Management, which enables the de-activation of certain components when maximum power isn’t necessary - as for example, in city traffic.

Surprised? Perhaps, but we’re all battling oil prices and emissions controls, supercars included. This, though, can’t hold a candle to the appeal of the engine and its scary numbers.

Anyone expecting an easy going NSX will change their mind when faced with its 590 hp. And to think that the previous generation had more than 300 hp less…
