Mini R58

These guys will be grey with a white roof, no stripes or Union Jacks: this time the aim is no pollution, not the appearance on Californian boulevards. As part of its emission reduction plan, BMW will be manufacturing 500 electric Minis for the US, reducing the German company’s emissions in the Golden State.

490 of these electric Minis will be on sale, while the remaining ten will be show-cars. The cars should be released by the end of the year, though no other details are available as yet.
