The London Show is now imminent, opening its doors on July 22, and Honda will be bringing a concept car, never before seen, called Open Study Model or OSM to the show.
The car that you can see in this first drawing will be a two-seater spider and a complex but contained mass. Performance and general fun in all in one, although the OSM will also respect the environment.
Care for the environment will be one of its main attractions. Planned in the German research and development centre at Offenbach, the OSM will follow the course of the concept CR-Z of Tokyo 2007: a coupè which combined sports driving with an ecological conscience.
We’ll have to take it easy with the enthusiasm though, as Honda has not revealed the destiny of this prototype, which could remain exactly that. Whether it has a commercial future or not, as Steve Kirk, company spokesman, has revealed to Automative News, we can discard this car as the substitute to the S 2000.
