Volkswagon is ready to launch a new spicy version of the Scirocco, and after the news of the competition verison used on the Nurburgring, we see the first images of the Scirocco R. Bigger air intakes and some extra grunt gives this something more than the current 2.0 TFSI option, but we’re still waiting for official confirmation.

Rumours are still pushing the VR6 3.2 with all-wheel drive, while others dream of the 3.6 Passat R36 at 300hp with DSG transmission. The fact remains that the overall package could be explosive and even dangerous for the Audi TT-S and S3 cousins.
