Alfa 8C Competizione

Read this news but take it easy while you do it as we get the feeling Autocar could just be stirring. But according to the British magazine, Alfa Romeo wants to replicate the 8C Competizione in 2010, just in time for its 100th anniversary.

It’s still not clear if such a version will be a simple GTA or a brand new limited series. Marketing director Sergio Cravero has added a new element as well, saying that Ferrari could make a contribution, perhaps conceding the same platform as the California.

“It would be a great contribution if Ferrari supplied its experience” are the words of Cravero, even if it could be difficult to convince them. Autocar reckons that the structure would be similar to the current model, with rear engine and transaxle system.
