The Porsche 918 Spyder featuring in the following spy shots was spotted at the Nurburgring, while undergoing some testing at the Nordschleife. The car, almost identical to its prototype, was sporting a monochromatic Martini Racing livery.
The Porsche 918 Spyder has been specially designed by the German manufacturer to be placed at the top of the sportscars range, becoming a reference not just for Porsche’s future models but also for the competition. Stylisticly the car has a strong racing-influenced design, with a large spoiler and a large rear diffuser, few air intakes scattered on the body and streamlined cues.
The production version of the car should reach a weight of 1,700 kg and cover the 0-100 Km/h in 3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 325 km/h. The electric motors that will be powering this hybrid supercar will be pushing it to a speed of 145 km/h, with a range of up to 26 km in EV mode alone. The average fuel consumption should be around 3 litres per 100 km, making the Porsche 918 Spyder one of the most efficient super sportscars of all time.
