Mazda has released the second video teaser of the Mazda6, their new car for the D-segment that will be initially made available in sedan and station wagon configurations. The first video showed us some details of its front end, and this second one is focused on the sides of the car, though the Japanese carmaker did not reveal much of it either.

As anticipated, we expect many elements of its design to be directly inspired by the quite captivating Takeri Concept (click on thumbs below to refresh your mind), which got unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last year. However, Mazda is indeed keen to emphasize that this is the all-new Mazda6 and not Takeri, as the name of the video points out.

The car is also expected to feature some element lifetd from the CX-5, according to the guidelines of Mazda’s much-hyped Kodo design language. We thought the Takari concept was actually pretty cool, a the taut lines we get a glimpse of in the above footage would make us believe the new Mazda6 will be a stylish and aggressive model. The car will probably be introduced to the world at the next Paris Motor Show.
