Bmw M1

“We have the know-how, the right engines and the facilities to produce it: I don’t see why another M1 can’t one day debut on the market.” And the skies are open. This declaration from Herbert Diess, BMW board member, to Car, has had the same devastating effect as an explosion, with inventive flames and fantasises bouncing around the net. The guys over at Leftlane have exploited the movement to create the first hypothetical renderings.

The lines faithfully follow the style of the noble parentage, with some elements taken from the M1 Hommage concept car. The flat bonnet shapes the rest of the car, finishing in a smooth rear, well harmonised with a small spoiler. As affirmed by Diess, the engine range will include higher levels of power, possibly seeing a twin-turbo petrol (such as the 3.0 or the V8 4.4), or a substitute for the V10 equipped with two higher powered turbines.
