Aston Martin has officially unveiled the new V12 Vantage Roadster. After the first images published last week, now a new gallery with several pictures of the car has been released - showing the interior as well - and like its coupe counterpart, many stylistic details have been updated with brand new carbon fiber bits, while newly designed front and rear bumpers add up to the overall elegance of this sporty model, whose fabric hood will come with many color options that customers will be able to select.
The engine is a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 delivering 517 hp and 570 Nm of peak torque, which is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph). The driver is also given the chance to choose between two modes of operation for the engine: the so-called ‘Standard’ is for normal and relaxed cruising, providing for a gentle throttle response and efficient fuel economy, whereas the ‘Sports’ mode unleashes all the horses this convertible rocket is capble of.
In the comparison with the coupe variant it is based upon, the V12 Vantage Roadster has undergone some changes in chassis department, with the updates affecting in most part the rear suspension. The model comes with Aston Martin Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres that are supposed to maximize the performance of the car. The starting price of the car is 150,000 pounds, approximately 190,000 € at current exchange rates.
