These spy photos show us the new edition of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, whose launch is planned for 2014. This group of Grand Cherokee has been immortalized in one of the first tests carried out by the manufacturer on this model, and as far as we can see there will be big news especially on the front, which is now more rounded.
The classic Jeep grille looks smaller than the current model, while the bumper seems to smile with that unusual curvature of the headlights. The lower fascia with fog lights is also curved and is somewhat reminiscent of the Dodge Journey. These mules of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014 still had a pretty disguised interior, but from what we know the car should have a touch screen that will be larger than the one featured on the current version.
The new Grand Cherokee will also come with new engines. Chrysler has confirmed that initially the new range will count on one diesel engine only, which will probably end up being a modified version of the well-known 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 delivering 237 hp and 552 Nm of torque. This unit should be coupled with an 8-speed transmission courtesy of German specialist ZF. The production of the model is expected to begin in May 2013.
