It’s true that it wasn’t the only Renault protagonist on the weekend (Alonso and Nelsinho Piquet, at a few kilometres away would be laughing…), but the Laguna Coupé will carve out its five minutes of fame at Cannes: the official presentation will, in fact, take place on the stage of international cinema, on the red carpet with the president of the Company, Carlos Ghosn, present.
As per the berlina, the clean lines are evident, with a fluid and harmonious side inherited from the concept. The front doesn’t show the same pecularities as the rear, with its aggressive elegance. The design is “fluent” according to style managers, despite its abundant size: 4.63 metres in length and 1.83 in width.
The engine range includes two rigorous V6’s: a three-litre petrol at 240 hp (seven seconds to reach 100km/hr) and a new diesel at 235 hp and with 450 Nm of torque. The engines are accompanied by the Active Drive, four-wheel steering system debuted on the Laguna Gt.
