A conceptual and stylistic evolution: in offering comment on the new Ferrari California we need to think about the desire to renew a traditional brand linked to its past.
The technical details of the first coupé-cabriolet show some tasty morsels, one after the other: the debut of direct injection and the eight cylinder V form. The power doesn’t quite get to 4.7 litres though, but is “limited” to 4300 cc. The 460 hp at 7,500 revs however, allow for an acceleration of 0-100km less than four seconds.
Other extras include Brembo ceramic-carbon discs, just to show that driving with the wind in your hair doesn’t mean driving like a tourist.

13 Sep 2008 - 03:41 - #2The Ferrari California joins the Prancing Horse’s eight cylinder family, which has always been defined by power and performance. It also flanks the flagship 612 Scaglietti in the prestige sporty Grand Tourer segment.
