Ford introduces the new F-150 SVT Raptor model year 2012, which completes the upgrading of the F-150 line-up with the most powerful version of the lot. The changes aren’t really that radical as the renewal of the model is mostly about small aesthetic updates meant to spice up the look of this popular pick-up truck. Besides, the revamped F-150 range will also come with a slew of new color options for the delivery and more optional extras.
The model pictured in these images for instance sports new Xenon headlights - which can be ordered as an option - new rims from the Ford Racing line and the new Terrain paintjob. Talking about that set of wheels, they have been specifically designed to firmly hold the tires even in the most difficult situations, when they are stressed the most stressed, like when you are using them with a very low pressure.
As for the interior, the new model receives a cool 4.2″ LCD multi-function screen placed right in the middle of the instrument panel which is also coupled to the modern MyFord Touch 8 inch infotainment system. In terms of mechanicals, the new F-150 will basically remain unchanged, still boasting an impressive 6.2-litre V8 unit credited with an output of 416 hp and 588 Nm of peak torque,which will be coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission that operates this four-wheel drive system of the vehicle.
