Maserati Quattroporte spy shots

A reader of out parent-site Autoblog.it has sent us these spy photos of the new Maserati Quattroporte, spotted in Naples while undergoing some testing in the Vomero district. The camouflage worn by this prototype doesn’t allow us to see much of the rear section of the car, but we can get a pretty good idea of how the layout of the tail-lights will eventually look like. What we already know is that under the hood there should be a 4.7-litre V8 engine delivering 475 hp coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission courtesy from German specialist ZF, and that the new Quattroporte should also turn out to be slightly longer than the current version in order to make room in Maserati’s range for an upcoming baby variant.
