The Concept version of the German car was revealed at the 2012 Wörthersee tuning festival, while some patent drawings were leaked on the net three weeks ago. These new pics are the confirmation of what we were waiting for: not only the car will be built, but it could even be revealed ahead of schedule.
The mule captured in the images is equipped with mudguards and exhaust system sourced from the GTI variant, which has been recently presented in Cabrio version. Under the bonnet is the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TFSI turbocharged engine with direct injection, producing up to 270 hp of maximum output. All this power should be driven by the four-wheel drive system used on the hatchback version, from which comes the same braking system, too.
