New video clip featuring the Audi TDI SQ5. This model - the first diesel-powered version of the top of the range Audi Q5 SUV - implements a series of aesthetic updates designed to emphasise its gritty lines and to accentuate its sporty side. The stylistic makeover includes modified bumpers, aluminium-look side mirrors, platinum grey front grille and eye-catching five-spoke design 20-inch alloy wheels.
The SQ5 TDI is powered by the mighty 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 TDI engine, producing an output of 313 hp and 650 Nm of maximum torque. The German engineers have worked hard to make the engine sounds as a proper “S” model: a specially developed sound modulator has been implemented through a valve inside the exhaust system.
The SQ5 TDI has been designed to perform like a sports car: it covers the 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. Fuel consumption is relatively low in comparison to performance, 7.2 litres per 100 km on average. The suspension and the chassis has been modified to lower the vehicle body by 30 millimeters and to stiffen the shock absorbers and springs. The SQ5 TDI will be available from the first quarter of 2013, with prices from around £ 45,000.
