The site GT Spirit has released the first images and information regarding the Pagani Zonda R Evo, new evolution model and successor to the already extreme Zonda R, supercar officially approved for track only. The new hypercar keeps the same 6.0-litre V12 engine, modified to develop a maximum output of 771 hp: 21 hp more than the Zonda R. This increase in power is enough to push the car to 100 km/h in less than 2.7 seconds, while reaching a top speed of 350 km/h (217,47 mph). The Zonda R Evo will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 (29th June 28 - 1st July), driven by Bernd Schneider.
The Pagani Zonda R holds the lap record at the Nurburgring in the Production, Street-legal vehicles category: the lap was completed in 6 minutes and 47 seconds. Bentley Continental GT Speed and Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake will also be officially presented at the Goodwood Festival, while the Porsche 918 Spyder will be having a private showing for Porsche buyers only.
