Take a look at this car: it looks like a ‘regular’ Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, doesn’t it? Well, it isn’t: the model featured in this video and in the pictures below is the first one whose V12 has been enhanced with a pair of turbochargers. Apparently, American tuner of Underground Racing started working on its supercharging system shortly after the official presentation of the supercar, and the pictured model is the outcome of that work.
Underground Racing has released the first images of their modified Aventador but did not say much about its technical and mechanical details, just specifying that the interventions to fit the twin-turbo-kit requires a proper reconstruction of the whole engine, which is absolutely mandatory to get the job done.
In spite of its standard tyres, the car was able to thrash the 0-100 km/h in just 2.2 seconds, thanks in most part to the 1200 hp of maximum power delivered by its powertrain which also exploits the “Quickshift upgrade” improved transmission. Underground Racing also pointed out that the work is not yet complete and more videos and pics as well as more details on the project will be released soon, so stay tuned.
