New spy photos starring the next Renault Clio: the new generation of the popular B-segment car from the French manufacturer has lost some camouflage since the last time we saw it, revealing more rounded and muscular lines than the outgoing version. The overall size is virtually identical to the one of the current range: according to some sources, the length will increase by just 2 cm, while the height will be slightly lower.
The new Clio should come with a multimedia touch-Link R system, which includes satellite navigation, audio system with CD/MP3 player, USB and AUX docks, Bluetooth connectivity and iPhone/iPod and web-browser. The engine range will include the new 0.9 TCE unit producing 90 hp and 135 Nm (also available with dual-clutch gearbox) and the economic 1.5-litre dCi, also credited with an output of 90 hp. As for the sporty RS version, it will instead be equipped with the same 1.6-litre turbo of the Nissan Juke coupled with a EDC gearbox, both of which will be fine tuned in order to fit the requirements of a Renault Sport model. The first official photos will be released on July 4.
