The next-generation Volkswagen Golf Variant will also be offered in Alltrack version, as already seen on the Passat. The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack style will be very similar to that of the Passat and could be on the market in 2015, as reported by Autocar.
The car will be based on the modular MQB platform and will have the ride height raised of a few inches compared to the standard Golf. The Alltrack kit features new bumpers, black plastic cladding on the wheel arches and new interior trims that give the car a more rugged off-road look.
The Golf Alltrack will be offered with a choice of 4Motion four-wheel or front-wheel drive and will be mainly marketed in North America, with the name Volkswagen Jetta Alltrack. The model will be placed at the lower end of its crossover line-up, just below the Volkswagen Tiguan.
