During the next Mille Miglia road rally event, Abarth will unveil its new 695 Edizione Maserati. The convertible model will be showcased at the Piazza della Loggia (Loggia Square) in Brescia, the town in northern Italy where the nostalgia happening takes place. Only 499 units of this exclusive series will be produced, each one of which is supposed to emphasize the bond between Abarth and Maserati, two brands owned by the Fiat Group. Attention to details, elegance, passion and high performance are the common traits of the manufacturers that this new 695 is meant to represent.
Under its bonnet pulses a supercharged 1.4-litre 4-cylinder T-Jet engine, credited with an output of 180 hp with 250 Nm of peak torque and coupled to Abarth’s exclusive Competizione 5-speed transmission. Let’s get down to the figures then: for this model Abarth claims a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of less than 7 seconds, with a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph), average fuel consumption of 6,5 l/100 km and 151 g/km of CO2 emissions.
Other highlights of this model include 17″ Neptune-designed rims fitted with 205/40 R17 high performance tyres, exclusive Bordeaux Pontevecchio paintjob (a color lifted by Maserati’s options list), Koni FSD set up, Brembo brakes, Xenon ligths, Blue&Me info-tainment system and a 400 Watt JBL sound system. As for the cabin, it features carbon inserts here and there, leather upholstery, leather steering wheel, several 695 logos and aluminum pedals.
