In the wake of the first images of the restyled Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107, pictures of their upgraded Japanese sister have also surfaced. Just like its French siblings, the restyled Toyota Aygo too shows a heavily revised front end that is immediately recognizable by the integrated modern LED daylight strips. The front grill is also different - and quite similar to the one sported by the new Yaris - while the air intake is now bigger and with an hexagonal shape. As for the interior, the new Aygo gets new upholstery patterns and an improved audio system.
The model will be initially available with the same 68 hp 1.0-litre 3-cylinder unit already in use by the previous model, which boasts an average fuel consumption of 4.3 l/100 km and CO2 emission of 99 g/km. Just like its French twins, the new Aygo will be unveiled at the 2012 European Motor Show in Brussels (January 12-22) and will maintain this design until 2014, when a brand new generation of the city-car trio is already scheduled to surface.
