Little by little, we get to see more and more of the long awaited third generation of Mercedes A-Class. The new entry-level model from the three-pointed star house is currently undergoing some winter testing, and this time our photographers have spotted no less than two mules of the car, both of which had very little camouflage on. As we already know, the new model will drop the ‘little MPV’ configuration - which was quite crucial for its predecessor’s commercial success - in favour of a more traditional hatchback body-type.
It is not difficult to see what Mercedes is trying to do: the new model will have to take on the likes of Audi A3 and Bmw 1-Series in one of the most competitive segments of the market, and obviously this new philosophy just adds up to the anticipation for the upcoming next incarnation of the A-Class. Besides, this set of spy shots includes an image of the interior too, showing a dashboard layout which - although partly hidden - is objectively quite reminiscent of the new B-Class.
