The first models of Bmw’s i-series - namely i3 and i8 - have yet to hit production and still the German carmaker is already working on expanding its line-up of electric vehicles. After all, Bmw didn’t get at the top of the automotive industry by resting on its laurels.
The mysterious model pictured above is in fact an electric vehicle, as you can tell if you watch closely at the front wheels: there are so-called hub motors there, meaning electric motors powering the front wheels. Moreover, you might notice that both front and rear wheel arches of its bodywork aren’t really fitting, and those narrow tyres look quite suspicious too.
Well, if we have to put two and two together, we can’t help but think that Bmw is actually working on a bigger sedan within the i-family to enter the same all-electric market that manufacturer such as Tesla and Fisker are already successfully exploiting. Let’s just wait for some official confirmation.
