Peugeot released some information and an official photo gallery about the 208, their brand new segment-B car. The model will be available with both 3 and 5 door body-types, and will feature several interesting solutions that set it apart from the 207 model it will replace: it will be 110 kg lighter, 7 cm shorter and 1cm lower, and still Peugeot menaged to add 5 cm of legroom and 15 litres of boot capacity.
The engine range for the new 208 is also brand new: it consists of a 1.0 and a 1.2 three-cylinder petrol units (producing 68 hp and 84 hp) with CO2 emissions figure of 87 g/km and a claimed average fuel consumption of 3,4 l/100 km, and a pair of turbocharged diesel units emitting less than 99g/km of CO2. The car will be officially unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
