Slovenian exhaust systems manufacturer Akrapovic has released a cool official video featuring the recent BMW 335i, obviously equipped with dedicated Akrapovic mufflers. More specifically, the kit created by the Slovenian company is made of austenitic stainless steel and features a newly developed layout with two central link pipes replacing the single stock pipe, a new muffler design and carbon fiber tailpipes. In terms of output, this new exhaust is 800 grams lighter and should provide for an extra 7 hp and 11 Nm in terms of output than the standard unit.
The model is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0 liter 6-cylinder unit producing 302 horsepower, but with the M Performance Power Kit the output will be increased to 326 horsepower with 449 Nm of peak torque. With this set up, the model can trim the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time by 6 tenths taking it down to just 4.9 seconds.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, although BMW also offers an eight-speed automatic as an option. However, both gearboxes link up with the fuel-saving Auto Start-Stop function. Average fuel consumption, in spite of the high performance, it is not excessive, with an average of 7.9 liters per 100 kilometers and 186 grams of CO2/km. to find out more about Akrapovic, here's the link to the official website.
