Chevrolet Malibu 2012

Chevrolet’s new sedan Malibu will be made available in Europe in 2012. The car shares the same constructive platform with Opel’s own Insignia model, and in Europe will be available with a 2.4 petrol engine (169 hp) and a 2.0 diesel (164 hp) with automatic or manual transmission, while an LPG/ petrol engine is also in the works. The Malibu will come with 10 exterior colors and 4 interior color combination choices, and will use the MyLink infotainment system.

The mechanical features of this car include McPherson front and multi-link rear suspension, while ABS, ESP and 8 airbags will be standard equipment. Rearview camera and reverse parking aid are also available as optional extras. The new Malibu will be built in China, South Korea and in two factories in the US, where cars bearing a Chevy’s Malibu badge have been on the market since 1964, selling most of the 8.5 million units that have been produced so far.
