Good news for Porsche fans - we will definitely see the new Porsche 911 at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and this official video teaser shows us some of the details we can expect on the new generation. The 991 version of the iconic coupe is undergoing final testing in South Africa and we should see a Carrera and Carrera S version appear with the six-cylinder boxer engine.

At this stage the Carrera could be equipped with the 3.4-litre engine with 350 hp, also to appear on the Boxster S and Cayman S, and the Carrera S could have the more powerful 3.8-litre with 400 hp. Two seven-speed transmissions should be on offer - a manual and a dual-clutch gearbox, both with launch control function.

The car will be longer and wider, but should be more efficient as Porsche continues to get its fuel consumption down. In the video you’ll see there’s no handbrake - it’s being substituted with an electronic command instead. There’s still some interior camouflage but the models on show in this video are pretty much production-ready.
